Mouldings is owned and run by Tony and Paul Waterman.
Tony's career started in 1966 at Specialised Mouldings, working on Lola
T70 MK3/MK3B, McLarens, BRM, Brabham, Chevrons and Alexis.
In 1969 he set up a GRP shop in Germany for McNamara Racing. On returning
to the United Kingdom he resumed at Specialised Mouldings up until 1972.
He has been independent since 1972 and have produced Titans, Royales,Lolas,
McLarens and Ford GT40s.
In
1990 he purchased the complete range of the original Lola moulds from Mr
Eric Broadley of Lolas. ln 1999, he added the original McLarens moulds bought
from Mr Charlie Agg.
Recent projects have included Palmer Audi bodywork, Ford Super Van (a 2/3rd
scale of Transit Van with F.1. engine and chassis) and Nissan Motorsports
touring car.
The company has branched out into the commercial market and is now producing
mouldings for Boats and Trailer Side Skirts and Deflectors for Trucks/Lorries.
The company has also produced signage for High Street stores and our latest
product has been 8 metre high trees for Mothercare UK Limited. We have the
capacity to work from the concept design stage to patterns, moulds and production.
Two
years ago Paul Waterman became a partner in the company and bought in his
welding and fabrication experience from the scenic lift and the boat industry.
Paul's expertise in Motorsport was from making Royale and Van Diemen chassis.
